In the middle of Pride Glasgow, surrounded by parades, costumes, stalls, political flyering and all the chaos… we spot an old gay couple just holding hands, smiling, strolling through it all.
It’s somewhat heartwarming to see two guys living openly when in their youth they’d be scorned.
Also - huge turnout! Never seen the event so packed.
The title said ‘Your Chance to Save the Meaning of Real Marriage’ and I facepalmed harder than Picard during one of Worf’s suggestions. Apparently gay couples getting marriage is something to fear. Something to worry about. Something that will destroy all of our lives according to this Scotland for Marriage group. What a load of bollocks.
So I’ve decided, in a moment of annoyance (not just a moment - this kind of thing severely pisses me off), to say what I really think about this groups leaflet.
I warn you now though - a lot of this may become blind ranting and I make absolutely no apologies for it.
